I have a startup that is almost ready and I'm finding it hard to get companies on board, what can I do? Yeah, can't blame me for trying though. I went for the big guns right away to properly test the application out. Still testing the application on smaller companies affected by piracy might showcase just how well the app can do regardless of company stature and audience size. I'm considering the legal firm approach, know where I can access a list of legal firms that specialise in copyright infringement investigation? |

I have a startup that is almost ready and I'm finding it hard to get companies on board, what can I do? Considering most of these software companies don't reply to unsolicited email and I'm in Australia finding out if these companies would use a product like this before building it would put me in the same situation. I could do some of my own tests, but that's only half the service. Sure it generates pretty reports, but the automation tools have to be seen to paint the potential software company an image of just how useful it is. Having an almost finished product should be grounds enough for these companies to want to try it, maybe I'm not clear enough in my emails I'm sending. |

I have a startup that is almost ready and I'm finding it hard to get companies on board, what can I do? Lisa, this is a pretty amazing answer. I never actually thought of contacting legal departments of the companies I am trying to contact. I know there are similar companies I've found via my research, but non as far as I am aware except one providing a 98% automated service at a low price. The closest competitor I found charges an arm and a leg and issues the take downs manually which could take days if there is a huge backlog of requests. |

Why don't startups choose .Net as a platform? Richard, looks like the "lower cost" plans don't offer much in comparison to plans of equal value for Linux hosting. Looks like when you get close and into the hundreds of dollars, the plans start to get better. |

Why would someone write captchas all day? Theoretical example. A company is switching over to Gmail, they want to create a whole bunch of Gmail accounts for their 85 employee's. Google is going to show a captcha after the first few times and trust me entering hard to read captcha's isn't at the top of a companies to do list when they can pay a few measly dollars for someone else to do it. |

How to find and target an audience with video games? The title is a bit misleading, yes, but I think it's still a valid question. I'd say borderline off-topic. |

Is it legal to show an album on a Youtube Video? Also, you're not exactly distributing the album artwork for download, you're showing it and not making a copy of it available for download. Coupled with the fact that if someone wants album artwork they can get it off Google Images anyway because people frequently scan and upload high resolution copies of album artwork frequently. |

Is it legal to show an album on a Youtube Video? Haha, yeah. I noticed some people didn't really read your question properly. The more I read into this, I can only find references to using an actual copy of the album artwork, not showing a CD cover in a video. Having said that, it appears that using album artwork if it is low quality is considered fair use. LyricWiki has a page on this and they're quite big: lyrics.wikia.com/Help:Contents/Uploading_Content/Album_Covers - the worse that will happen is you're told not to do it any more, but I doubt that would ever happen. You're safe in my opinion, but I'm no lawyer. |
