Is my own made website automaticly copyrighted or do I have to register it some where? I agree with all your points except #2. You don't have to display a copyright notice at all, it's automatic under the Berne Convention (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berne_convention) and it's in fact prohibited for a participating country to require such a notice. 164 countries have signed the agreement to date. I won't deny that it's best practice to place a copyright notice on your website, for various reasons; I just don't agree with your wording. |
