Best strategies for approaching customers via phone That's a fantastic answer. Taking this advice would do you well. Particularly about listening instead of talking. Noone wants to hear a 5 min rant and you also can't be so prepared. You need to listen to what they say and alter your discussion accordingly. |

SaaS company incentives I don't understand, are you talking about commissions to the founders? I thought you were asking about staff. |

Exchanging newsletter mentions and tweets with other startups? We may have different definitions of ads, but that's an ad to me. Whether it's in it's own email or at the bottom of your newsletter, it's an ad. I think the offer is the only way for me that you blur the line and can get away with it. |

Exchanging newsletter mentions and tweets with other startups? I really like Zuly's point of "Make it an offer". That is great advice and could be the deciding factor on this being a success or not. |

Researching Competitors Prices It depends on what your competitive advantage is. It might be price and that's a valid strategy. |

How often should I implement a new feature in a new web startup? I am guessing because it's completely unrealistic to think you won't need to keep iterating on any system. |

How often should I implement a new feature in a new web startup? @jimg I follow that principle myself with my own business, I just don't think it's right for all. Especially if this person is very new and lacking features is costing them business, then saying "no" to features is the last thing they need to worry about. It's good advice to be aware of, I just hope people really consider their own scenario instead of following it blindly. |

How often should I implement a new feature in a new web startup? I always worry that people will attempt to copy a way another business does things and expect the same result. 37Signals do some great stuff, but what they do won't necessarily work for you too. Keeping your software as simple as possible isn't for everyone. |
