Expanding development team for a startup @acjohnson55 cut scope like crazy so you can get it into the market faster. Your end goal should be market feedback and penetration. Everything else is noise. If you can't attract a developer knowing what they (we?) like, then it sounds like you already know the answer. |

An idea to implement R&D in a software services startup FYI: some countries (ex: Canada) provide huge refunds of up to 70% for corporations on R&D costs, and 30% (or near it) for contractors. Huge. This alone makes it worth it. Not sure about the US, though. |

Why are some companies admired? While Starbucks may have good internal culture, I would say it's nearly the opposite from the outside looking in. At least in my opinion / view. |
