How do I go about finding a 'closer' to help pitch investors? Making your product better is completely orthogonal to the question on finding help (or not) to raise money. Your answer makes no sense and doesn't address the question at all. |

First-time meeting with a VC and Angel Investor I appreciate all the advice, but nobody has really answered the questions. What questions should I ask? What questions will they ask me? |

First-time meeting with a VC and Angel Investor Thanks, but I have a busy weekend and meetings on Monday and Tuesday, so I don't have time to read an entire book. :-) Hence the reason I'm posting on here. But, I'll definitely check out his book(s). |

Domain names price trends? This doesn't even address the question. |

Are Google Docs or Zoho good internal knowledge-base solutions for a startup? +1 for being the best answer so far, but I'm more interested in hearing about the pros/cons of Google docs than other options. I disagree that Google Docs is "slow to use". I've always had fast performance when accessing the site, and I can create structured documents bullet points, lists, tables, etc. much faster in Google Docs than I can in any wiki I've tried to date. Yes, the linking definitely lacks, but the search is good (unlike most wikis I've used), and you can structure documents in folders, so there is some trade off.. |

Startup equity and cash distribution for a SaaS @Ricardo - Actually, you're the one that didn't read my response - "... then you are coming in with some money, an idea, and some marketing experience..." |

How to bootstrap when you have a high social overhead? Thanks for the answer, please see my update to the question. Yes, having children adds an entirely new dimension to the equation. |

How to bootstrap when you have a high social overhead? Thanks for the answer, see me update to the question. By organically, I meant growing the business off of its own cashflow rather than taking on debt or funding. I've never gone the funding route, but is it expected that seed-funding would only cover stakeholders? What if you wanted to hire a FTE, does seed funding usually not cover that? (Maybe this should be its own question). |
