How to find steady programmers for a start up? You do not - at least not good ones. Programmers still have to work, and given that I Dont know whether you are a total idiot or not (i.e. how much can I trust your plan to come through?) I rather take the money. As I originally said, you may gte away with SOME PART in equity, but all or even the majority - no. |

How to find steady programmers for a start up? The problem is that good people have alternatives. It is not like GOOD programmers are running around unemployed. Yes, the market is slow, but... it is not like it is dead. Throwing good money (time) after alrady wasted one - is not a goo decision. |

How much paid vacation for startup employees? Well, depends on yountry, or ;) I Know countries you would go to jail for that, so to say, as 20 days (4 weeks) are legal minimum ;) |

Should I pay some of my employees parking expense? +1 on that. If you decide to mvoe the office to a location without good parking, I would as an employee look to move to an employer not making me walk half an hour when coming to work. So, pay or the parking as needed. If that is too expensive - basically - you made a bad rental decision, as parking space is ALWAYS part of the equation for a business. |

How to find steady programmers for a start up? Even if you get them excited - good people cost market maoney. As I said - on a 60/40 equity payment (60% in equity) the remaining 40% at market value are STIL possibly 30 to 40 USD for a good person, per hour. |
