Distributing Windows virtual appliances Will be marketing globally. I know it can be solved with installers, but I'm trying to reduce complexity for the customer, especially during evaluation |

Distributing Windows virtual appliances @AndrewSmith don't they just do cloud-based solutions? Cloud is not an option for me |

Distributing Windows virtual appliances I think you are probably right though about the 'shark filled waters' :) I guess I need to give this some more though and see if the Microsoft dependencies can be replaced with something else that will open up the possibility of using Linux instead |

Distributing Windows virtual appliances The reason for not wanting to use an installer is that this product is going to have a lot of dependencies (.NET, Java, Erlang...), and I want to keep it as simple as possible for the customer to deploy, as well as making our lives easier on the support side once customers have it in production |

Amazon Payments for B2B Software We ended up going with FastSpring. The charges are higher than I would like, but the service and integration options are good. They also (so far, anyway) authorise payments very quickly. |

Amazon Payments for B2B Software Paypal has a really bad reputation, and the web is awash with stories of them closing accounts and retaining the funds for no reason. This is B2B software, and I really don't want potential buyers to hesitate once they have made a decision to purchase. |

How should we advertise towards the Chinese demographic for our new startup? Aren't ChinaSmack and The Beijinger sites for expats living in China, rather than Chinese citizens? It's also going to be difficult to have any sort of presence on Chinese social networks without knowing Chinese. |
