No 1 “must read” for startup founder. Could you point just one? Opinionated, but still has a ton of great stuff about lean design, and is a pretty quick read with less abstractions and more real takeaways. |

What has been the most surprising challenge of doing a start up? You see a lot of investors citing this self-worth issue as a good reason for having co-founders. They say it takes a pretty strong person to go it alone, not (only) because of workload but because of this emotional component. |

How to reject Feature Requests? +1 because the links are to a system where Sam demonstrates how an actual community reacts when you flat out tell them you are denying requests or accepting them |

How to Set Up Your Social Media Profiles? I agree, and would add to this that identifying the person doing the tweeting makes it less 'faceless corporation' and more personal. |

Resources to create a logo I've had success on eLance as well. I posted a job with a $50 fixed-price, got several responses, and ended up going back and forth with a company about a half-dozen times until I had exactly what I wanted. |

Is it better to learn technology by oneself or to find a cofounder/outsource? (bootstrapped web-startup) @Tim and Jeff: I don't understand, is the advice then to not even try to learn it oneself? I'm not implying that 40 hours of programming is enough, but I have learned a ton since I've started, and I learn more everyday about the scope of the project. |

Is it better to learn technology by oneself or to find a cofounder/outsource? (bootstrapped web-startup) Why the down-vote? This is literally what I've been doing the last few weeks, and I thought it was a pretty good contribution to the conversation. Am I way off here? |
