comment What kind of liability insurance should a contract engineer have?
Marco, so what do you want to protect yourself from? Re. workers comp, must be poorly run shop you are contracting with. Most places (mine including) won't work with 1099ers without coverage. But again, I am not an insurance broker, you should contact a local one and discuss your needs.

comment Questions to ask CEO when interviewing at a startup
Company culture starts from founders. Even if it is just one founder, culture is already there. So what questions to ask? I would ask around what personality traits seem to work well and do not work well, get examples of how they have dealt with major mistakes, ask the hard question if they had to let someone go and how they did that, etc.

comment Partner is leaving, is there any common legal agreement that will allow him to return?
In US we tend to use "extended leave of absence" to handle something like that. Not sure what is allowable in Denmark.

comment Is choosing a commercial technology going to make it harder to find hackers to hire?
Xananax, thank you for your kind comment. I just want to encourage you to not put barriers. Yes, things differ region to region, but you can ALWAYS find what and who you need, if you want it bad enough and work at it. Serendipity only happens if you put yourself out there with an open mind. Cheers!

comment Is there a way to legally hide ownership of a LLC from the general public?
There is always a way, that is what good lawyer is for, but be prepared to shell out some $. Likely will need to use an agent as a front.

comment Does the concept of “Unlimited Vacation” increase productivity and attract talented employees?
Plus with all those recessions, no matter how well the team and company is doing, people are too afraid to take time off. At least when you put "limits" on, people are more likely to use them.
