It sounds like the hostel will normally be accepting actual payment on-site - why can't reservations be made with the hostel directly? Are you planning on acting as a payment processor for the hostels? What's to stop you from just charging the 10% fee, then charging the remaining 90% when they actually show up?

Your boss still gets 40 hours, and you get a free day (subject to employer approval). However, check any contracts you may have signed - the employer may own creative work regardless (jurisdiction dependent).
Oct 2	comment	Question about terminating contract with employee You're going to need to talk to a lawyer about the specific wording of that second clause, especially in regards to vacation time. However, while it might be legal, I'd consider it immoral to consider him 'breaking' contract if you weren't providing him work. From the (current) information provided, I'd likely consider him eligible for that 2% (but IANAL). Other than that, the contract should eventually 'expire', and any well-written contract has early-termination clauses.
