We are 4 tech guys that have almost a MVP for our project, would it be good to apply for an incubator? Sounds to me though you are missing the point of a MVP. |

Micromanaging partner I think you tell them directly or you don't. If they can not deal with other opinions they should not manage a company. |

What kind of knowledge do you need to start a company? You have to learn new things when you are working on your business (or maybe even before). A search for the "lean startup" and "steve blank" will put you in the right direction and give you confidence that you don't need an MBA to startup. Once you found the product & market you want to pursue you can get funding and hire people to the things you don't know. Still, do not stop learning there!!! |

The European version of Yellow Pages? In Germany we got yellow pages as well ("Gelbe Seiten"). The thing is that probably each country has their own yellow pages in their respective language. Never heard about a global European business directory so far. Maybe sb. else knows more. |

What business model “frameworks” are available to help lead/manage a business? +1 for finding an accountant to handle the taxes. Nobody can handle everything by themself!!! |

Is 'free' a bad idea in business applications? I think there are lots of free SaaS services out there, which simply add pricing to get certain features (freemium). See Google apps for businesses for example. If you do something like this I don't think you are going to loose customers. Of course its another story if you change from free to completely paid. |

Do I want to pull clients to my company's facebook page or its web site? I would say both. The more engagement you have both directions the better for your business. |

Where to start our Market Research First: share your idea. I mean not necessarily here, but find "startup" communities or possible customers to share your idea with. Also if you would share it here you would get some answers. |

Is starting a business without somebody knowing “business” a good idea? Thanks. Really considering to find an additional partner. I had somebody in my mind for some time, though I am thinking he is not the person I really want in our business (multiple reasons). If you don't have a clear candidate, how to you find that additional partner? |

Is starting a business without somebody knowing “business” a good idea? Thanks for the advice. I like the "you don't know what you don't know" part, since this pretty is what I was already thinking. |

Why do startups need so much money? @Robin Vessey: I would be interested in in how much revenue you have to compare against the costs. I see the point about the amount of money used for this and that, but what if your product kicks off right away (I know its unlikely). Could you cover the costs? (yes, very vague question) Does it really need millions of investment to make it through the first two years as in your example? |
