I am starting a consulting firm. My client is in canada but will pay me in US currency. Should I create an LLC or S-corp @Mitch - considering your question is a couple months old, you might know this by now. But, you'll also need to start a business in Canada so you can file HST & pay taxes. It's not fun. |

Existing Consulting Biz - Looking to grow, considering new partners NetTecture: really? Jeff KO - the problem isn't 'success' it's 'growth'. I can't hire a sales person (long sales cycles, strong variability in cash flow, etc), I could hire associates (but that would alienate the contractors who are the most experienced). It seems that bringing their equity into the biz would get me closer to resolving both those scenarios. That yields more growth, etc. |
