What is really considered overhead in a web-based app business? That's what I am thinking because it seems that the kind of business I am describing is one where nearly everything can be considered overhead at some level. Servers would scale with user-base and, perhaps some positions (customer service) but most everything else would remain mostly constant. More importantly, I can't find a solid link between expenditures and the cost of a unit of product like you could if you were making widgets. |
