What are some startup-friendly providers of General Liability insurance? Another add-on you might try to bundle in is Directors & Officers Insurance. |

A question about selecting the right co-founder Business plan and mock-ups: yes. Not sure exactly what you mean by "financial statements", but if the prospective partner is interested in your take on how the business will succeed financially, I think it's worth sharing. Your projections are likely to change anyway, so really all you're doing is showing off your financial skills and style. If a prospect would join a business without understanding how it will succeed financially, do you really want that person as a partner? |

Compensation: How much cash compensation & stocks for professionals being brought in What is "equivalent to 200-300% of drop in salary"? The expected value of the stock at the end of a 4-year vesting schedule? The simplest way to compare these two forms of compensation is on the basis of their future value. But the expected value of stock is very difficult to constrain. |

What Questions Should I Ask When Interviewing at a Startup? +1, but re "equity stake", remember "how much" means "percentage", not "number of shares". At an established company, equity will likely be in the form of stock options. So be sure to ask about acceleration on change of control, strike price (ie. What's the basis for the current fair market value?), and vesting schedule. |

Would users want name.mydomain.com/ or mydomain.com/name for their profile? Good point. Just to be clear, you will have the OPTION of compartmentalizing cookies or sharing them between your users' sites. |
