Web development - Outsource or go in-house? Thanks a bunch! This is really insightful. If I may, what are the ways one could check if an outsourced vendor is quoting a price right for a project? I think usual way to check their break up of features and time required for development of each feature right? And what can be the average hourly rate in India, since you seem to be from India as well? |

How to split ownership <promise a long but interesting case-study here> in a startup with a scenario like the one below? Besides, they both know a 50/50 is out of the equation here since A's contribution hereto has been greater than B's.. The main reason I asked this question was - what are the ways one ideally goes about splitting in such situations. I have read quite a bit on this but couldn't find a similar situation as A and B's. |

It is indeed a situation where the two are happy to talk it out. But let us say, they both agree on a number they shouldn't have and it turns out it is unfair for either of them at a later point in time, they both can't be expected to be in the same zone as they are now and transfer the 'unfair' component to the other. |

So, technically we haven't agreed on anything. What do you think would be the most fair way (for A, B and most importantly the company) to go about? |

So after a year, 2k and 0.5k vested on A and B. Now, if B left/ got fired and there is no acceleration for him, and assume there is no further issuance of stock, assume an incoming investor who wants 80% (8k shares) of the stock. I know it is an extremely hypothetical situation. But how to go about alloting him 8k shares from A's and B's vested and unvested shares? Essentially, after B left, what happens to his 1.5k unvested shares and how does future dilution happen impact his vested 0.5k shares? |
