How to keep information about the side business private from corporationwiki etc.? @Joe what part of it? And if you're so sure - why do you bother asking? |

US Company, tax offshore holdings to shareholders not that I noticed, and its well above the level startups usually need. When you get to the stage where such a scheme will be profitable - you would already be making millions in revenue, and tax questions people ask here don't require such expertise, and even I can answer most of them. |

US Company, tax offshore holdings to shareholders This is a hypothetical question with a complicated answer that requires deep expertise in the US and international tax laws. This is obviously well off-topic to this forum. If this is a real-life situation for you and you still don't have an accountant - you should get a lawyer, as you're likely to go to jail for one mistake or another. These schemes are done by major corporations who have armies of accountants and lawyers. And yes, there are US consequences. |

How to keep information about the side business private from corporationwiki etc.? @Joe yes there are, and yes they would. There are enough people paying "subscription" money to take their info off to make it worth their while. |

How to keep information about the side business private from corporationwiki etc.? @Joe I'm not sure I understand what you're arguing about. Officers of corporation and members of LLC is a public record. Anyone can get this information. That is for California, at least. That is the answer to your question. Your link is to a Federal law. Not sure how it is relevant to the discussion. |

Is there a way to legally hide ownership of a LLC from the general public? Actually, at least in CA, the "managing" LLC will have to be registered as foreign-doing business, so you end up with exactly the same result, double the LLC fees. |

How can I split income with a person I never met? Israeli tax authorities are somewhat overzealous when it comes to small businesses. You know how to start, but you never know when and how it is going to end. |

How can I split income with a person I never met? May I add here that incorporating is a very expensive and potentially hazardous business for the OP (specifically in Israel). I would strongly advise against it unless no other option is available or there's really a lot of money involved. |

UK company expanding to US, sponsoring b visa @StuartHall good luck. If everything is in order, L1 is very quick to obtain (no quotas or unnecessary delays). |

UK company expanding to US, sponsoring b visa @Stuart I personally am not an immigration lawyer, but it is my understanding that sales pitch that requires a 1 week visit is fine with B1, but being employed as a full time salesman for 6 months - is not at all. As I said - this is something not to do without a lawyer. The lawyer can tell you, for example, that you're not the first one to open a US branch of a foreign company, and there's a proven and well-known legal path wrt the visas on how to do that. To the best of my understanding, L1A is exactly what you need, and I don't know why you want to get in trouble avoiding it. |
