How do I pull this team together again? Is this run as part of a big company, with all the participants working for that company - or is this something people can just wander in off the streets and join? |

How to handle partners asking to renegotiate old partnership agreements I didn't say you didn't need to do legal stuff, I said it could be done. |

How to handle partners asking to renegotiate old partnership agreements It doesn't need to be retroactive. If you originally split the ownership of the company 50/50, if both parties agree you can say that "now you own 40% and I own 60%". You can void an entire agreement and write a new one. |

How to handle partners asking to renegotiate old partnership agreements You certainly can legally change the equity split - as long as all the parties agree to it. That's the trick. |

Having hard time to decide for a lead dev position in a start-up (Paris) Can't really answer this as it depends on you. Is the excitement of working at a startup more valuable to you than the salary you could make elsewhere? Only you can know that. I personally wouldn't take a lower salary without some sort of compensation like equity. |

Which Credit card processors allow us to retrieve payment information? As I understand the question, you take credit card information from the customer, and then you want to be able to pass that information on to the hostel owner. I believe that this is ILLEGAL in most jurisdictions. If I knew you were doing this I would ABSOLUTELY NOT SEND YOU MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS, no matter how good the business you offered. |

What are the elements of a one line pitch? I have this to say about the one line pitch. It must be one line and...it must be a pitch. |

Working as early employee but not get paid I agree with you. I just wanted to make sure the consequences were understood. |

Working as early employee but not get paid It's almost certain that actually following through on this will break the company. And since they don't have any money, not get the OP anything. Not that I don't agree in principle... |

Should users data be removed upon their request? @JoelFriedlaender I agree. People should certainly check with their lawyers. |

Should users data be removed upon their request? @JoelFriedlaender "The Act is clear that organizations must retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the organization’s purposes". Keeping backups is not "the organization's purposes". When you've stopped providing the user with the service they asked for then keeping their data unnecessarily is illegal. |

Should users data be removed upon their request? I suggest reading the Facebook story. I think you'll be surprised. |

Should I partner with shipping companies? Wouldn't it be better to let them choose their shipping method? |

Should I partner with shipping companies? Are you shipping stuff, or are your vendors shipping stuff? |

Should users data be removed upon their request? @DaveValentine Facebook distinguishes between a 'deactivated' and 'deleted' account. A deactivated account is kept but disabled. A deleted account is now completely deleted; although it takes some time for everything to be removed from all servers. |

Should users data be removed upon their request? You seemed to say that the rules will apply only if you are silent on the matter. I think you will find that some rules will apply whatever you say. I believe it's also bad policy to keep users private data for ever. |

Should users data be removed upon their request? "We will keep your personal data for ever, even if you ask for it to be deleted" would certainly stop me from signing up for your service. In some countries it would get you in legal trouble. |

Should users data be removed upon their request? Because if you have data from customers who think they have deleted their accounts, and they are stolen, then suddenly those customers find thieves have their data even though they thought it had been deleted. That will get you in a lot of legal hot water. See my answer for more details. |

Should users data be removed upon their request? Backups should not be retained indefinitely. |
