Business Card Title @FernandoMartins: "Lord High Executioner" and "Lord High Everything Else" are direct references to The Mikado, by Gilbert and Sullivan. I've come across them used flippantly two or three times. It wasn't a serious suggestion. |

Business Card Title If you have two, the ideal titles are Lord High Executioner and Lord High Everything Else. For one, perhaps Lord High Everything would work. |

How to negotiate with a sales guy If you can't trust and work well with someone that you're going to have to work a lot with, you're better to sort it out earlier than later. |

Forced to sign intellectual property agreement or be terminated after 4 years of service @bwasson: why didn't you put that as an answer? |

Best way to email 100k customers If you've got 100,000 users, it doesn't sound to me like you're a startup. |

How to approach people when conducting a market survey? I don't believe reducing the size of the questionnaire would be likely to help; most people will be objecting to the delay at all, not to the length of it. I doubt that he had anyone who stopped but when they saw the length of the questionnaire fled. |

How to find information about competitors? You could just go to their CEO and announce "You're one of my competitors and I'd like to know about your company so that I can insert devious motive here. How much money did you make last year and how many employees do you have?" You never know; they might tell you! ;-) |

Good ecommerce website for small transactions? $8/month is pretty steep if you're generating as little revenue as the OP suggests he may! |

Emailing prospects: plain text or HTML? +1 for keeping it simple. HTML email doesn't mean it has to look like a website. |

Best Way To Market Online Company Twitter trolling is a dangerous idea. Trolling is considered antisocial and you may get people annoyed by doing it. |

Should I let my (large, established) competitors snoop around our service? @Dmurtagh: I've never been in a situation to do it, but I would think that it wouldn't be polite to put anyone on such a list without consulting them. They may not wish to be publicly associated with your service. |

How to structure pre-paid professional support for an Open Source product? It could be quite important what the product is. People will be able to offer more informed advice if you provide more information. |

CMS for online magazine startup? @Aiden: one aspect of it is that WordPress focuses on ease of use, at the expense of security. In the Drupal world, the directory containing all your scripts should be locked down so that PHP scripts can't modify it at all - ideally, they can only alter the "files" directory where file uploads go, and /tmp. In WordPress, my understanding (I have never used it) is that you won't get far if WordPress's installation directory is not writeable by the website process. |
