The great thing about software/IT is that you can make significant things happen with just time/effort. The first step to success is to provide value to people who have a need or a perceived need. It really is that simple. Focus on what you CAN achieve - not on what the limitations are.

It depends on how much work it takes to maintain the site - what are the expectations, how much time is involved, etc.

I certainly don't advocate lying but I don't see why an employer needs to ask about "how many NDAs did you sign?" That's none of their business, frankly.

The more relevant issue is if they have non-compete agreements. If the person is unethical then you have made a mistake in any case. Their trustworthiness is independent of the number of NDAs they have signed. Limiting candidates based on valueless guesses about risk with respect to NDAs is a mistake.

You need to be specific about what was in it and what they are threatening. As long as you do not divulge information that you got from your involvement with them there should be no problem.
