I'm an incubator. How can I best process startup applications? I am not sure this is a good fit for this site - can you please rephrase after reading our FAQ? It's also hard to understand what you are asking here. I am closing it but feel free to edit it and we can reopen later. |

How do entrepreneurs start their first bootstrap startup? Using those two things as excuses will not help you. The great thing about software/IT is that you can make significant things happen with just time/effort. The first step to success is to provide value to people who have a need or a perceived need. It really is that simple. Focus on what you CAN achieve - not on what the limitations are. |

Does BizSpark preclude you from accepting funding elsewhere? The agreement is NOT that long and you should read it if you are considering it. |

What is a fair asking price for website maintenance? $60 to $80 is high - very high - especially for someone who is just making a wordpress template and who just started learning how to make websites/hasn't done one before. |

What is a fair asking price for website maintenance? I would just charge hourly. And give good estimates for how long things will take. |

What is a fair asking price for website maintenance? You probably want to figure out how to enable them to update minor things like picture, editing prices or adding items for sale. |

What is a fair asking price for website maintenance? How about trade for syrup? That's what I would do. But since you're friends I would imagine you're getting the syrup anyway. It depends on how much work it takes to maintain the site - what are the expectations, how much time is involved, etc. |

Local or deported Subversion? This is likely not an appropriate question here. |

Local or deported Subversion? There are free SVN hosting services. There are also very good CHEAP hosting services. |

Where should I promote this product? Make some youtube videos. Demonstrate it at local events. Get others to talk about it for you. Give it away for free to some people. |

Is it okay to ask potential hires about previous NDAs? @Casey - I don't think the candidate has any responsibility - an NDA is just that -- a non disclosure. What would be relevant. I certainly don't advocate lying but I don't see why an employer needs to ask about "how many NDAs did you sign?" That's none of their business, frankly. |

Is it okay to ask potential hires about previous NDAs? If the person signed an NDA they have an obligation not to disclose. Why does it matter to you how many NDAs a person has signed? The more relevant issue is if they have non-compete agreements. If the person is unethical then you have made a mistake in any case. Their trustworthiness is independent of the number of NDAs they have signed. Limiting candidates based on valueless guesses about risk with respect to NDAs is a mistake. |

What type of manufacturing fits a growing brewery? If it was me I would start networking with other brewers if you have not already and talk to them. I think Sam Adams has some kind of support network for small brewers. |
