Trained in C, familiar with C++ and Java, spent the last 10 or so years mostly in scripting (perl, shell, etc) with a little php/ajax/js on the side. I've been running linux on just about all my systems for over 5 years, and at least partially using it since '95, mostly with Debian and now Ubuntu. Lately I'm getting back into a project using C, maybe Lua, front end with php/ajax/js, and who knows what else.
Outside of the techie stuff, I enjoy photography as a hobby and do a lot of home repair both on my own home and with the local Habitat chapter. For fun, I strap the bare necessities onto my back and enjoy a weekend of backpacking.

Seeking Google+ Development Partner That makes a bit more sense. Glad I held off on the down vote. |

Seeking Google+ Development Partner You're asking for a list of companies that are already working with an API that hasn't been released (and more than likely doesn't even exist yet)? Would it make sense if I asked you for a list of good mechanics that have experience working on hovercraft? |

a place to call work! I think the yes/no to the "are you alone" should be reversed. If you live by yourself, you have no distractions at home to need an office. And if you have no co-workers, you have no need for a space to share. Unless by office you are referring to a place where you can meet others in the industry rather than "get work done". |

What are key difference in the way SMEs and big companies buy IT solutions? Perhaps Skarab means SMB, Small and Medium size Businesses? |

What are key difference in the way SMEs and big companies buy IT solutions? I've always known SME to mean subject matter expert, aka a lead tech or consultant. But since they tend to work for the big companies, I'm not sure this question makes sense, or perhaps Skarab is thinking of some other acronym. |

Collecting Use taxes That was my understanding as well, which is why the linked article confused me by describing the vendor collecting a use-tax. I think the simplest answer here is that the author of the article doesn't understand the difference between a sales and use tax. |

I have a prototype, now what? Why do you need investors at this point, how will the money be used, and what is preventing you from starting small and bootstrapping? |

Is building a better product good enough? You should be at least 36% better than the competition. How you measure this is left up to an exercise for the reader. :) |
