Trained in C, familiar with C++ and Java, spent the last 10 or so years mostly in scripting (perl, shell, etc) with a little php/ajax/js on the side. I've been running linux on just about all my systems for over 5 years, and at least partially using it since '95, mostly with Debian and now Ubuntu. Lately I'm getting back into a project using C, maybe Lua, front end with php/ajax/js, and who knows what else.
Outside of the techie stuff, I enjoy photography as a hobby and do a lot of home repair both on my own home and with the local Habitat chapter. For fun, I strap the bare necessities onto my back and enjoy a weekend of backpacking.

How can a past employee protect themselves against share dilution? -1 Dilution doesn't require a merger, capitalization can change (e.g. investment funds), and this didn't answer the "how to protect myself" part of the question. |

My webmaster created our website and is now charging me a licensing fee Hard to understand why he thinks he is owed more money from your description. Did you fulfill your terms of the contract? Would a non-biased party agree with you? |

Why can't a startup “own” its employees when sport clubs can? @tomjedrz, that may be a technically correct comment, but it's not useful. Please explain any issues you see. My thoughts here come from what I've seen in practice, so I'm more than happy to hear about the legal reality. |

Am I committing patent infringement if the function is the same but construction is different? @Mike, licensing fees, and eventually stuff falls out of patent protection. If someone has a patent, and you want to make it, you either make it in a non-infringing way, or you get a licence from the patent holder. The government can legalize whatever they want. |

Separate bank accounts? @Tim, If you carry enough of a balance, you can get a business account without fees for the typical small business transactions. And always give the small local banks/credit unions a try. |
