Should I pitch on This Week in Startups when we aren't yet ready to launch? It was a bit of exaggeration to drive my point through ;-) - but you're right in a sense. However if you are the one with the drive and original thoughts you will always be ahead of your competition. You will eventually need to go public anyway. |

What is more important: Uniqueness of Idea or Marketing? I would not say that fads are useless. They create a sense of belonging and talks to maybe the deepest of our needs as human beings. |

What is more important: Uniqueness of Idea or Marketing? Sure you can create demand for stuff that didn't exist yet. But not for something that doesn't have an underlying need. However, if you're out to create demand you will need VERY deep pockets. Maybe that is not very viable here. I might be wrong, but... |

Stuck in a cubicle supporting family I'm in a similar situation. What I've found out is that for me it is an advantage to be busy with family (and kids) and a full time job. Why? Because it really FORCES me to priorities and thinking about what is REALLY important in the startup. It is sooo easy to waste time and energy on stuff that is not worth it in the long run. Be creative and you will find ways! |

Should I raise the price of my product? Offer them a discount then - if they complain. I think the purpose here is to determine which price work the best. |

Help! I'm a serial entrepreneur that keeps coming up with ideas that never get completed I think you should not be focusing on the competition at all. That will just lead down a path of self-reassurance and in-productivity. That energy would be much better spent creating. |
