Hello all Does any one here know or working in the software libraries market? Developing network stacks, helpers, convertors, components and such?

There are a lot of people marketing software libraries, components, add-ons, etc. But the overall market seems pretty small. And small scale developers seem suprisingly cheap- they often opt to develop their own solution to a problem rather than buy a library component that costs only $50.

Check out the ASP (Association of Shareware Professionals) for more information. Many of their members develop components and libraries and virtually all of them use these tools.

Targetted marketing of these components can be difficult. There is a web site Component Source that specializes in selling tools like this. You can list and sell your product with them for a fee.

Yes it costs $100 per year to join the ASP. The question you have to ask yourself is- How much money would I be willing to pay to directly address 1,000+ software developers for a year? They are not only your target market, many also develop software components / libraries and can provide you with invaluable advice- for about $8.33 a month. How many Google clicks will $8 buy? – Gary E Feb 22 '10 at 1:56
