Nowadays advertising cost is paid to media, why can not advertising cost be paid to audience? For example, you can post an advertisement/announcement and let other read this advertisement/announcement, but how can you make sure whether he has read it or not? Maybe you can set some easy questions, these questions can be easily answered as long as a person has read the advertisement/announcement. Then he will get a small amount of remuneration. Now I have developed such a website(http://www.tenxian.com/en/announcements/index.php). What do you think of this idea? Can it possibly revolutionize the way of advertising?

Added: For example, I want you to read the introduction to my website and you may resist, "Oh, no, I don't have time. I have other things to do." So I can say, "Ok. Just spend one minute reading the introduction and I will pay you $0.50." So this is my idea.

I looked at your website.. I do not understand what you are trying to do here. Your website gives no explanation either... – Eric Amzalag Feb 9 at 2:49

The model as described already exists - you can get paid to take surveys, which is essentially the same thing. And as Eric points out, your website is just confusing, I looked at it and had no idea what the point of the site was. – Elie Feb 9 at 3:03
I'd rather earn 'Farkle' points. – Jeff Oresik Feb 9 at 14:03

If I understand your post correctly, what you are talking about is an infomediary model - provide incentives to individuals to view / disclose information. (a list of business model definitions can be found here) There is a book called "net worth" that goes into detail about this type of model. (and here's a good critique)

Oh, it is not infomediary. My website is an announcement/advertisement platform and readers will get paid by the advertisers. – Steven Feb 9 at 6:46

The problem is that the most desirable audience, i.e. people with lots of money to spend, are least likely to respond, because they simply don't need your $0.50. This modell will end up with many "users" from developing countries making a living by reading advertisements all day long, without ever buying anything.

Haha, this is a problem. Maybe they are students or they have nothing to do so they can read advertisements to kill time. – Steven Feb 9 at 13:37

There have been companies that paid people to look at ads. People ended up letting the screen run in the background all day (to jack up the view count) and collect a hundred bucks at the end of the month.

All these are at the expense of advertisers who are suckers that only look at view count and nothing else. It's hard to see this business model sustain.

Haha, viewers have to answer questions. If you don't read it, you can not get paid. Advertisers won't become suckers. – Steven Feb 10 at 4:58
