Hello there I was just wondering if anybody can advise me on the following. I am a designer that can design and create a broad range of garments from swimwear and underwear to ball gowns and suits. I am looking to create a few different labels in umbrella like formation to give each brand its own identity. This will be a gradual thing but i don't want all my brands having the same name. I am looking to register them under my main company name but is it possible to do that? Should I just register my main company or all of the brands individually and link them? I am a complete newbie at this and welcome any help.

Any company can own as many trademarks as it wants. Just like the Coca-Cola company owns both Coke and Sprite trademarks, you can create one company that creates, owns, and registers as many brands as you want. |

You might find it prudent to compare your prospective branding with existing trademarks searchable here: A common approach is to use a theme that can connect the different labels. By checking the availability of various names in advance, you might be able to focus on a common theme. Good luck. |
