We have a bootstrapped product startup which is generating revenue but not at a level yet where the founders can comfortably live yet. We need to work more on the product to improve product/market fit.

We're planning to move to the SF bay area for various reasons, and are looking to generate additional revenue through consulting. We'd like to do work which we can do from our own office and for which there is a local market, and if possible aligned with what we do for our product startup.

We have complementary tech and business skills. What type of consulting work would be best to take on in this situation?

I know there are plenty of coding jobs, but from what I've seen most of these seem to be on-site, part-of-the-team situations, which will take considerable time away from our product startup, by sitting in meetings and commuting.

Any insights and advice greatly appreciated.
