I have a problem essentially my current method of harvesting information related to prospective company contact information within my given marketing profile is extremely time consuming.

Does anyone have any experience or any recommendations for creating a streamline cost effective method of harvesting company contact information?

to be more specific: im looking for a company which would possibly sell this type of information in an already compiled format. – mysticxhobo Aug 15 '12 at 3:08

I use custom build datamining tool. It does search for potential companies in city, guesses their potential profile and produces offer. It pre-selects targets based on defined rule set. For example, companies using specific software solutions.

You can hire developer to do something to automate your current work.

It performs scans, downloads documents, collects os versions and fingerprints of the servers, datamines facebook and linkedin. It connects the dots and analyse the data the way it can predict future actions. – Andrew Smith Aug 15 '12 at 22:43

DUNS number is the US, EU govs and many companies world wide do that. http://www.dnb.com/get-a-duns-number.html

e.g. Apple validates companies that supply App for AppStore using DUNS number.

Certificate of Good Standing is another good way to verify company.
