Answers OnStartups is a question and answer site for entrepreneurs looking to start or run a new business. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm the founder of an interests based social network. A well known advice for promoting a startup launch says I should identify key bloggers, and introduce my startup to targeted early adopters.

Well, the problem is that my startup is targeted to pretty much everyone above the age of 13.

I'd like to ask what's the best way to narrow down the "good targeted" bloggers list when my startup is a social network?

Hi Tal, and welcome. We hope you'll enjoy your stay, and share your own knowledge too. The question "how do I best promote / market / sell" has been asked very many times, and is off topix -- see the FAQ about wide open questions. Please scale back your question to something much narrower (see the marketing tag for examples) and remove your links to your own site, otherwise your question will get closed. – Jesper Mortensen Jun 17 '12 at 17:14
Alright, thanks sir! – Tal Hoffman Jun 17 '12 at 18:04
Just did it. Sorry for that – Tal Hoffman Jun 17 '12 at 18:10

Look for bloggers who hate Facebook. Or blogs for early adoptors.

Do you know someone specifically? Thanks! – Tal Hoffman Jun 21 '12 at 14:31
Why the down vote? Assuming all anyone knows about it is that it is a social network (Hoffman did not disclose any specifics), the only group who would find that appealing are those who refuse to use facebook and those willing to try something new. – tyjkenn Jun 25 '12 at 18:48
