You need to assign the copyright to your company. The only costs would be the cost of having the assignment contract drafted. After that you would most likely want to have the assignment recorded with the copyright office. This costs $105.00.

I registered the corp on my own for $35. Its hard to believe it will cost me $105 to transfer the ownership to my company are you sure? – zapoo Apr 17 '12 at 23:41

The assignment won't cost anything. The registration with the copyright office has statutory fees. Of course, that is only if you registered your copyright with the Copyright Office already. If you haven't done that you don't need to update the assignment with them. – Stephen Burch Apr 17 '12 at 23:51

haha... Thanks Buddy! I can do it online? – zapoo Apr 18 '12 at 0:07

To assign transfer copyright to your company you can use an copyrigh transfer service or employ the services of an IP attorney who can handle the paperwork for you. We had the exact same issue ourselves, and created Kunvay to scratch our own itch and help others do the same.
