I have seen sites like klout.com used in measuring social influence of people. I want to know if it's possible to develop a payment system where people pay using their social influence. For example we can have:

Pay with Facebook
Pay with Twitter

I want to know if it's a violation of any terms or policy of the these social networks.

I'm very much concerned about the policy of such system.

I am currently using paywithatweet. I love the idea and what it can do for me, but their implementation is weak. Its pretty ugly and has very few options. I think you or someone could do it far better. The workflow is right, but adding different design options, putting it in a popup (like most tweet buttons) would be killer. They show an ad to the user, and thats OK with me, but I would also like an option to pay a couple bucks/mo to remove the ad. SO make the app and make it better. – MikeNereson Nov 22 '11 at 18:45

Stanley, I don't think this would work for Facebook. I am not a lawyer, but it would seem to specifically break their Platform Policy:

You must not incentivize users to use (or gate content behind the use of) Facebook social channels, or imply that an incentive is directly tied to the use of our channels.

And from their Terms of Service:

You will not show third party ads or web search boxes on Facebook.

Presumably they're not at a scale where Facebook has noticed or cares. If they're facilitating violations of Facebook's ToS, I assume that opens them to some kind of legal liability. – Jay Neely Apr 1 '12 at 17:24
