Anyone know what google's policy is for moonlighting? Do they own everything, even if it doesn't compete with any google products?

See this more general question. Google's policy, in California at least, is almost certainly pretty standard for a high tech company.

they deal with outside income, outside income is generally permitted unless specifically prohibited by the rules of a particular agency, or unless creating a conflict of interest situation.
