Does anything of the following constitutes as a business start day for my newly formed LLC?

Paying freelancers to build the website which the LLC will be conducted under. Revealed to the press that a site is in the works. Signed engagement agreement between Freelancer and the LLC.

I am going to be honest you should go talk to a CPA on this one. If you find a good one they will do a 1 hour consultation free kind of like you interviewing them and they can answer questions, this can be one of them, that way you can get an idea of what all happens. CPA's can answer A LOT of the questions you are asking. – percent20 Jan 15 '11 at 4:24

I'm not sure I understand your question. I think what you are asking is what action or event starts the life of your LLC (i.e. causes your LLC to become official). If that's what you're asking, then the answer is when you officially register your LLC. As soon as you register your LLC it becomes official, even if it takes you months to hire a freelancer.

If I misunderstood your question, can you please elaborate?

I agree with Zuly concerning both confusion about the Q and the answer. The LLC officially exists as of the date of endorsement of the Articles / Certificate by the Secretary of State. – Dana Shultz Jan 16 '11 at 23:53
