I'm working on a software application in a large company as consultant. I use a library released as Dual License Model (AGPL v3 and Commercial). Do I need to purchase a commercial license to use the library in the application only in the company?

If I later decide to sell the application to another company, I know I would need a commercial license, but not sure about internal use only.

Thanks

What product are we talking about? Licencing agreements vary drastically. – Frank Nov 17 '10 at 16:52
I'm talking about Pellet: clarkparsia.com/pellet – rochb Nov 17 '10 at 22:16
When you talk about "Only in the company", you mean NOT as a SaaS service, right? – Joseph Turian Nov 19 '10 at 18:46
Also, are you comfortable giving your deliverables as open source to the company? I think that is also an important part of the question. – Joseph Turian Nov 19 '10 at 18:47
you are right, I'll be forced to give away the sources with the AGPLv3. – rochb Nov 22 '10 at 19:35

Why don't you ask the owner of the library? It is the best way to clear any licensing issues.

"For general inquiries about software licensing, application development, consulting, technical support, etc., you can reach us at inquiries@clarkparsia.com" – Ross Nov 18 '10 at 7:33
OK thanks. Though, I think it would make sense to have a general answer since the questions is related to a precise licensing model. – rochb Nov 18 '10 at 11:24
There is no "general" answer in licensing. Answers can vary and they can be different for each client of the software (individual terms and conditions). – Ross Nov 18 '10 at 17:33
