How feasible it is to find someone willing to sell your ad inventory for a generous commission? If something like this can work, what is the typical commission: 30%, 50%, 80%?

BUYSELLADS.com OpenX has a marketplace for this too.

Typical comissions vary depending on ad type.
25% is the usual but covers all operating costs.

I'll give it another shot to both. I remember looking into these networks couple of years ago but was not quite impressed with the quality of the advertisers. For me it is better to loose on some money than put certain ads. – usabilitest Oct 24 '10 at 17:55
I think buysellads.com lets you either provision ads or disallow certian advertisers. Selling your own ads directly is not hard, and the majority of small blogs tend to do that. For the 25% fee you can build a stronger relationship with your advertisiers. If i had a blog i would rather look for affliate programs to advertise than sell advertising. – Frank Oct 26 '10 at 10:41
